Winter Solstice happens on December 21 – 22 in the Northern Hemisphere also on June 20 – 21 in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Winter solstice is one of the most amazing and magical times of the year – it’s the rebirth of the light and also the shortest day of the year.
Winter solstice is when the energy is open to awakenings and bring in the new. The celebrations start on December21/22 last until the end of the year.
This is the time to let go of past negativities and welcoming new beginning’s, having a fresh new start with open ideas for the new year.
The Christmas season is celebrated during this time and almost everywhere else in the world no matter the religion or culture.
There is many celebrations and different types of festivities going on at the same time, commonly called the holidays!
Although Christmas is celebrated, So is Winter Solstice, Hanukkah and also Kwanzaa. The holidays in the winter solstice celebrate the spirit of faith, love and hope with bringing new beginnings for the future in the new year, and manifestation of our true desires, at the same time attracting love into our lives.
The winter solstice is rebirth of the sun and it’s a very important time that it is the shortest day of the year, then beginning a bright new cycle as the daylight gets longer.
The same happens with our spirits. This is actually the time we can reunite our inner light and awaken to our higher self.
Connecting loved ones during the Holiday season. Focusing on the intentions of love and light will help rocky marriages, mending love relationships coming apart or bring a Soulmate / Twinflame connection together and sealing their bond.
We come out of the darkness and go right into white light, this is a time with visualizing and planning for the future with the new year just a few weeks away.
This is the best time to get out your vision board and continue working on it, as I mentioned in my previous article.
Winter solstice is also a time to celebrate even if you were not in the Christmas or holiday spirit. This is the time to celebrate the light by setting out goals both long-term and short-term. It’s also a time to reach out and help people who are in need.
- Decorate your house with festive lights and ornaments, bringing that spirit of light and joy into your home.
2. Prepare for a salt cleanse in your home, (I will post another article devoted for the new year), for now you can just get rid of clutter and things that are unnecessary in your home, I donate to a local church.
3. Lighting candles or even the candles that are LED are great as well since there is illuminating light coming from them this is all about bringing in holiday energy and love into your life.
4. Watch a holiday classic movie, the are so many – It’s a wonderful life (I have not seen this one but plan on this Christmas), Christmas vacation (Loved this one) and my favorite Elf!
Winter solstice is one of the greatest spiritual events and it has many positive and spiritual meanings for the new year. The main thing to remember is “love” by loving yourself, you will ignite that beautiful light that lives in you and it will make all the difference on how you feel this Holiday season.
It’s about welcoming the light and the birth of the sun that many Christians including myself celebrate as the winter solstice for the birth of Christ.
Mercury went into retrograde on December 19th and will continue until January 8, 2017.
Not to get off topic of Winter solstice. This retrograde is in Capricorn having a stronger impact on people born under the sign of Capricorn.
It’s a time to rethink our our actions and this Mercury retro gives us a time of better self-control and what we are doing, keeping in mind though we need to watch out for any new decisions or buying any new electronic equipment.
For example: this does not apply if you’ve already had an iPhone but decided to upgrade to the iPhone 7, this is only if you’ve never had a phone or if you went on a vacation somewhere but I’ve never been on a vacation ever, don’t be afraid of mercury retrograde but learn to work around it, if you don’t know what it is, I have many articles that explain exactly what happens when mercury go into retrograde.
Just remember whatever happened in this previous year of 2016 either if it was negative or positive. Be strong and let it go, allowing yourself to start over again in the new year with your spirit open. Releasing past hurts and excess baggage in your life, is the year of healing and renewal.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas with lots of love, happiness and peace!
Happy Holidays!
